Lived reality, not parlor tricks

Rehabilitating complex rescue dogs requires deep empathy, structured decompression, and highly practical routines. Having managed three reactive rescues at home, I translate canine trauma into daily safety for overwhelmed families globally since 2017.

From "The Go-To Guy" to The Doggydude

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been the person people turn to for dog advice. My journey started back in the 90s working hands-on at Mayfield Kennels, and throughout every job I held after that, I was always the unofficial canine expert. In my last workplace, the lads even gave me the nickname that stuck for good: The Doggydude.

When I hit 36, I knew it was time for a change. I wanted to build a business doing what I truly loved for the rest of my working life. A local dog walker introduced me to the ropes, but the real turning point happened during a weekend dog psychology course in Preston with K9 Misfits.

Watching two instructors completely transform and connect with about 10 highly reactive dogs in a single weekend blew my mind. For the first time, I finally understood what dogs had been trying to say to me all those years. I knew right then that my mission was to educate owners on how their dogs actually communicate, cutting through the chaos to build real, mutual trust.

"Your Dog's Best Friend"

Today, my diary is filled with the dogs most people turn away—the rescues, the severe anxiety cases, and the hyper-aroused chewers. I don't use force, and I don't use gimmicks. I just know how to connect with them.
